Calling Your Attention to a New Addition

See my alter ego Golden Retriever to the right... created with Voki.

  1. Oooo! It would be so cool to have one of these lead students through a webquest or some other type of computer based project! Instead of the teacher leading the project, the Voki "thingy" would lead it and be much more interesting!

  2. What an appealing and eye-catching way to communicate with students! They all are such animal lovers, and having one like a cute dog talking to them will certainly grab and keep their attention! I can see creating one for a number of different purposes, and it would be interesting to "assess" student learning, after presenting a short lesson using a Voki!

  3. I really like it. Kids of all ages would enjoy a Voki. It would be something new that would grab their attention.

  4. Everytime you send us an update on some new web 2.0 tool/software, I think 2 things. 1. Where does he find all this stuff? 2. I have soooo much to learn this quarter. Lol. I like the alter ego Golden Retriever. I guess whenever my son starts to ask for a pet, I can turn him towards Voki. No mess to clean up, no animal to walk in cold weather, and no extra food to buy. It's a win-win situation

  5. How neat would it be to have a "Barack Obama" voki (or your favorite politician, Sarah Palin is there as well!) talk to the class about the government? I also looked at some of the lesson plans. There is not a lot for 3rd grade but I did see a very interesting one for solids, liquids, and gases.

  6. The possibilities are endless even as a tool to attract very young children to technology. The problem as far as I am concerned is getting me to the stage of being able to create such treasures!

  9. I think this is sooo cool! I know my middle schoolers would love to hear an animated animal or person talk instead of me! I must learn more about how to use Voki.

Thanks Daphne for sharing about the solids, liquids, and gases! I will have to check it out as I teach this content!

  10. I love this type of thing, I used a video to cover some of the information that I was going to cover in a meeting and the kids loved it. It was a blast trying to figure out how to make the things work.
