You asked for it! (Not really but I know you really want sites that you can use right away in class instead of all that Web 2.0 tool stuff ;-)) This a good one... covers lots of subject areas and age levels. Comment on what you found useful here.
Of any online services we use in our kindergarten class, this one is absolutely the best and most age-appropriate. We use the Brainpop Jr. site, and it has excellent, clear and simple, short videos that are targeted in content and language. I would highly recommend it! Also has other resources, such as online quizzes, activities and lesson ideas.
Very good website! Too bad there's nothing about world languages :-(. I'll be able to use it to make connections, though. I also shared this with one of my Language Arts teacher friends and she's very excited about it!
Sigh! I agree with Michelle....WHERE ARE THE LANGUAGES?! I will definitely share this with a friend/colleague of mine who is a 3rd grade teacher... she's going to LOVE it!
I use this site everyweek with my science and english classes. It is a useful site. Beside the video with the robot, it also has activities and quizzes. Check it out...
I learned quite a lot myself just randomly looking at information on this site. The most difficult thing about sites like this is dragging your self away as there is so much to investigate. Fun!
I used BrainPOP Jr this year but I found with third grade, Jr is great at the beginning of the year but I need BrainPOP at the end. I don't like to pay for two subscriptions so I either use it at the beginning of the year or end! It would be great if they just offered one subscription. :(
