YouTube Resources for Web 2.0 Tools

Just found  on YouTube.  There are 7 videos that cover all sorts of web 2.0 tools appropriate for education.  Many of the tools are ones we have explored but some are new to us (me, too).  The guys in the videos are entertaining and the video editing is slick.  Worth a look if you need some ideas for new tools or how to use the ones you already know.

  1. I had a chance to see these videos when I first began the course, and they were very helpful. The two 'hosts' are pretty entertaining, and the information is clear and to the point. Thanks for sharing the tip!

  2. I watched this video for the first time and I was amazed to learn about three new web 2.0 tools! I currently use digital drop box, but am thinking about using drop.io for storing my digital media after watching the video! Thanks for sharing!

  3. I knew there were some great things cell phones can do, but I didnt have any idea about these educational tools you can use cell phones for! These Drop.io and the Jott websites were definitely new to me. Two thumbs up!

  4. These are all great tools to use in the classroom. The only problem that I would have is that the students are not allowed to have their phones on or use them during school. I would have to have it ok'd with the administration.

  5. A lot of tools and ideas we explore in 675 are intended to be stored in your long term memory... that means when the time is right, the need is great, opportunity knocks, or you catch the admin or tech guys in a weak moment you are prepared to spring the perfect solution with all the educationally sound reasons your idea not only can but should be implemented. As the Boy Scouts say, "Be Prepared" ;-)

  9. I love an "Aha Moment"- as Oprah loves to call it; a time when something finally clicks and you say, "Aha!" In any case, I had a few of those moments as I watched these hilarious guys explain some of the different web 2.0 tools. They mentioned a few that I knew of already, like Poll everywhere, but they also showed some that I'd never heard about- drop.io, phone.io, etc. LOVE IT!
