I was skeptical at first after watching the video on this blog, but after going to the Khan Academy website I found the educational videos to be very informative. I would like to use the "parts of a cell" video next year with my students when we discuss the organelles in a cell. Thanks for sharing!
I'm not certain I'm a proponent of a (completely) computerized class, but I did enjoy his videos involving subtraction. A good review for me if nothing else. The idea of a video a day might not be terrible, as long as the class seemed to work well with it. I would be interested to try this program with intervention students or through a tutoring program before I would attempt a whole class. I also found the "energy points" amusing, as I doubt too many kids I've worked with would see the "game" aspect of the program. The tracking features look great-I wish the MAP testing programs had such gadgets.
Very interesting video and website... there are so many videos that would be great to show in class! I will definitely share this with our math and science teachers!
