Thanks for providing a different perspective on technology and student use! It was interesting to read how the author refuted several of Prensky's claims. It is sad to see so many students hooked on their devices and missing out on just talking with friends or being more creative in their thinking or play. I hope teachers and parents can offer some different options for students to have fun learning and interacting with each other. They might just enjoy it!
Very interesting and insightful!!! Watching that clip, taking this class, and observing my students while taking this class, made me realize technology in the classroom is not an option. Our students need it, want it, crave it! Education in the traditional since of books, paper and pencil has changed so much just in the past 5 years.... teachers really need to educate themselves on these tools and start implementing them in their classrooms, for the sake of their students future!
